As I was sitting on the beach I decided to finally pull out my Mi Goals diary and put pen to paper on what I was going to do to make my dreams become a reality.
This is something that I sat down to do at the start of the year but couldn’t seem to vocalise what exactly it was that I was going to do, or achieve this year. That being said I knew broadly what it was but I just didn’t know how I was going to make it happen.
So I started to test the waters, I started to put myself out there, to write, to take pictures, to experience, to network, to meet, to research, to consider. The emotions I’ve gone through have been insane and incredible but it’s helped me get to this point, where I finally have 5 or 6 very clear ideas and I know exactly what I need to do to make it happen. In addition to that I have met and have rekindled friendships with people in my life who want to make their dreams come true, or make a change, or take a leap like me, so we are sticking together and we are doing it. It’s so scary but so exciting at the same time.
I sat down and looked at the goals section which I really should have done in January and within minutes had 6 short and medium term goals written down including to do lists and the overview of what I want to achieve.
After watching some inspirational talks by Vegie Head and Robyn J Law on Thursday night at Rock Your Bloggy, it became even more apparent to me that setting your intentions and being deliberate as well as networking, meeting, and working hard are the key ingredients for success in any career choice in life. Being passionate about what you do is the starting point, channelling your ideas and creativity are the ingredients and success is the product.
And you know what, from where I was at the beginning of the year, returning from England to home, being completely lost, gaining qualifications to teach and share things that I love and then not knowing if I would ever be able to make any sort of living out of it, I can safely say that your dream, whatever it might be is 100% achievable!
Be deliberate, set your intentions, we are half way through 2014 and the best is yet to come!
